The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) online Executive MBA is designed for experienced business professionals who want to strengthen their skills and become leaders in the global marketplace. Satisfying the admissions requirements means you have the foundation, experience, and skills necessary to succeed in this rigorous and accelerated degree program. You are also assured that your fellow students, with whom you will network and collaborate, are also talented and driven individuals who can significantly contribute to your online EMBA experience.

Admission Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Minimum of six years professional work experience, preferably with progressive technical, managerial, or executive responsibilities
  • Cumulative Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • No GMAT required

Application Requirements:

Application deadlines occur on the 15th of every month with admissions decisions issued by the end of that month.  While the last deadline to apply for the fall semester is July 1st, we encourage you to apply early to secure your spot in the program.

  • Completed EMBA application form
  • Current resume detailing all work experience
  • Official transcripts from all schools attended, which must arrive sealed in the school’s envelope (include RIT transcripts if you studied here)
  • Two letters of recommendation (both from professional references, one of which should be from your direct supervisor)
  • Personal statement consisting of a) a description of a significant workplace challenge and how you resolved it, and b) your rationale for choosing RIT’s EMBA program to enhance and fulfill your career objectives
  • One-time, $60 non-refundable application fee (waived for alumni and veterans)

International Students:

  • Credits evaluated by World Education Services (WES)
  • Original mark sheets
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) results forwarded from the Education Testing Service
    • Minimum scores required:
      • Written exam: 580
      • Computer-based exam: 237
      • Internet-based test: 92

Transfer Credits:

No transfer credits are accepted for this program.

Upon acceptance, students are required to submit the following:

  • $1,000 Deposit (secures place in program and is applied to first tuition bill)
